Joint 2+1 Associate Program in Engineering between GXPC-LBCC

The diploma education program, jointly operated by Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction (GXPC) and Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) based on the sectional teaching model of “2+1”, began enrolling students since 2017. Currently, it has attracted nearly 150 students.
In combination with the requirements of domestic architectural engineering technology major, we set up 16 courses recognized by both parties , including basic courses, specialized basic courses, specialized courses, cultural courses, among which 8 specialized courses are taught by teachers from LBCC or appointed by LBCC, aiming to cultivate international compound talents with international vision, advanced scientific knowledge and modern skills, and meeting the needs of economic construction.
Active efforts have been made to explore the “sectional” talents training mode of Sino-foreign cooperation in education, to establish credit transfer and accumulation system and to realize curriculum internationalization. It aims at developing student’s ability of surviving in the internationalized and multi-cultural environment of society so as to improve the quality of personnel training.
